What the evidence supports
- - Every workflow reviewed uses an official Instagram export rather than describing direct Instagram account access.
- - “No Instagram password” does not automatically mean “no upload” or “no storage.” Those are separate questions.
- - The same brand can use different data handling on mobile and web, so the product surface matters.
What this benchmark does not prove
- - It does not certify that any product is secure, compliant, or risk-free.
- - It does not inspect private server code, network infrastructure, or undisclosed data flows.
- - It does not treat missing documentation as proof of harmful behavior.
Methodology
- Identify active products that publicly describe an Instagram follower or unfollower workflow based on exported data.
- Review first-party product pages, privacy policies, or terms. Search snippets and third-party reviews are not used as benchmark evidence.
- Record only explicit statements. If a source does not answer a field, mark it “not stated” instead of inferring an answer.
- Separate surfaces when one product documents different web and mobile handling.
- Recheck source URLs on the verification date and publish the underlying CSV.
